Glenn Osur

Glenn Osur is excited to help you learn to play the piano. Whether you’re just starting your musical journey, or a seasoned player looking to hone in your skills, Glenn is here to help you.

Over the past thirty years of playing and performing piano, Glenn has worked with students to skillfully grow their proficiency. He accepts students age 8 and up and strives to give them a solid foundation of music theory while keeping lessons engaging, motivating, and fun. Classical, jazz, and pop styles are all within Glenn’s wheelhouse, and he especially encourages students to become confident improvisational players.

His passion for music translates during his lessons, and his mission is to help build your appreciation and love for music.

In addition to teaching private music lessons, Glenn directs various worship music programs in the Tri-Valley, and regularly performed at local venues including Nordstrom’s and McNamara’s. Glenn has also performed at many venues throughout the Bay Area for corporate concerts, weddings, and other events.

ALEX ATTARD

Piano and Saxophone

Available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

Alex Attard is an accomplished piano and saxophone instructor and excited to be part of the JAMS Music teaching staff. An incredible talent, Alex has been teaching private piano and saxophone lessons in the Bay Area for over ten years, and playing for over fifteen years.  His strong work ethic and commitment to his student’s excellence and enjoyment has made him a sought after instructor. He has a unique way to connect with students starting as young as five years old to bring out the most of their ability and help develop an appreciation for music.

While keeping the learning experience enjoyable, Alex focuses on proper technique, ear training, music theory, music history, and improvisation. He is equally interested and a confident instructor in classical and jazz styles of piano. You’ll get a comprehensive, well-rounded education of piano or saxophone when studying with Alex.

Alex most recently earned his Masters Degree in Saxophone Performance from Cal State University, East Bay after completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Jazz Saxophone & Flute Performance also from Cal State University, East Bay. He’s studied privately with top saxophone instructors in the Bay Area including Guido Fazio and Dann Zinn.

ELIZABETH ANGELL

Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Contrabass Clarinet, and Beginning Piano

Available Tuesday and Wednesday

Elizabeth Angell is excited to pass along her experience as a clarinetist to new, intermediate and advanced clarinet students at JAMS Music.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from California State University East Bay, where she studied clarinet, bass clarinet and contra-clarinet under Diane Maltester. In addition, she completed instrumental and vocal methods courses for music education.

Her exceptional interpersonal skills help build a great rapport with her students and their parents. Although primarily a clarinetist, Elizabeth is trained and experienced on piano as well. She also specializes in teaching early childhood music as well as students with special needs. Through her years of performance and study, she has a comprehensive knowledge base of both traditional and contemporary church music.

Elizabeth volunteers as a church musician where she has the opportunity to perform monthly on vocals with a team of other skilled musicians.


EMILY GRECO

Young Beginner’s Piano, Piano Immersion Classes, and Music Immersion Camps

Available Sunday

Emily Greco is a choral director, conductor, vocalist, pianist, and music instructor based in the Bay Area. While Emily is passionate about teaching all ages and levels, she is uniquely equipped to work with children. She has several years of experience teaching, both one on one tutoring sessions and in group classroom settings.

Emily attended Las Positas College where she graduated with two AA degrees in Communications and Language Arts, before transferring to Cal State East Bay where she is currently pursuing her BA in music. She has 8 years of classical piano training, as well as an extensive understanding of music theory. Emily also loves to sing, and has been a part of 6 different choirs in the Bay Area, as well as singing and accompanying her church’s worship band. She currently teaches choir and music theory to students K-12th grade at King’s Classical Academy in Livermore. 

Emily is inclusive of all different learning styles and wants to meet students wherever they are in their exploration of music. 


Hannah Robbins

Violin and Piano

Available Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday

A piano and violin teacher for all ages and skill levels.

Hannah Robbins is excited to teach piano and violin at JAMS Music. With nearly twenty years of teaching experience, Hannah teaches using different methods and books with a strong emphasis on supplementary theory, ear training, proper technique, and overall musicality. Students will learn the importance of good technique and theory while emphasizing good tone, sound, rhythm, technique, and ear training. Most of all, students should have fun and gain appreciation and love for music. 

Hannah has had students who are members of the San Jose Youth Symphony, the California Youth Symphony, the California All-State Orchestra, PACO, PYO, and the El Camino Youth Symphony. Numerous students hold leadership and concertmaster roles. Her students regularly participate in music competitions and graded assessment programs including The Royal Conservatory of Music Achievement Program (RCM) and Certificate of Merit (CM). Students have been accepted into professional-level summer camps such as MPM, Brevard Music Festival, and Interlochen. Many of her students have gone on to pursue music at universities.

Hannah is a native of the east coast where she studied violin with teachers at the Eastman School of Music, Hochstien, and the Kanack School of Music. She was the youngest member accepted into the Hochstein Youth Orchestra and the RPYO. She moved to Nashville and studied with teachers at the Blair School of Music/Vanderbilt before moving to San Francisco to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has studied with multiple teachers from Juilliard and had continuous education at MTSU and SJSU. Hannah has performed regularly throughout her years. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, exploring new places around the Bay Area, and performing in ensembles with her friends.
