SALES
We have a five (5) day return-and-exchange policy. We do not accept returns on items such as microphones, reeds, mouthpieces, strings, picks, etc unless unopened and sealed in original manufacturers’ packaging. For returns on serialized items over $100, we require a 10% restocking fee for cleaning, inspecting, and re-shelving the item. We typically wave this 10% fee if exchanging inventory rather than returning.
What is your return policy?
We typically do not buy back instruments, however we will consider trade-ins and consignments.
Do you buy back instruments?
If you have an instrument you’d like to trade-in or consign, you can bring it by the shop anytime during our business hours for us to inspect and consider. For consigned items, we retain 30% of the sale price of your instrument as a consignment fee.

LESSONS
Most of our lessons are in-person, with a select few teachers offering remote lessons on specific days. Our clean & modern lesson studio is located right here in our store in Dublin, CA, with soundproof rooms, clean lighting, and a waiting area. You can visit our lessons page to learn more and sign up online.
Do you offer in-person or remote lessons?
Most of our piano instructors will teach students as young as 5, while most other instructors such as guitar, drums, brass, or woodwinds, teach students as young as 8. It’s important that the student is physically able to reach all parts of the chosen instrument comfortably, which can vary from child to child. If you aren’t sure about which instrument is the best fit for your child, stop by the store and we will be more than happy to show you a few options and see what your child is interested in!

RENTALS
We offer two unique and affordable rental contract options.
Rent-to-Rent contracts are standard monthly rentals, with no minimum rental period required. These rentals are not prorated. Simply choose an instrument, and rent indefinitely. We offer purchase incentives after the 4-month and 10-month mark of consecutive rentals, at which point you would return your rental instrument and receive a discount off your purchase of a brand new instrument.
Rent-To-Own contracts are set for specific periods of time, at the end of which you will own the instrument you’ve rented. Our Rent-to-Own instruments are all brand-new. The price of these contracts varies according to the model of instrument that you receive. All Rent-to-Own contracts require a non-refundable $80 initial down-payment. You can choose to pay off the remaining balance of your contract early.
*Most rental instruments will require the purchase of non-rentable accessories at the time of rental, or during the course of renting. These accessories include items such as reeds and neck straps that are either disposable or cannot be rented out due to sanitary reasons.
How does your rental program work?
How do I return my rental?
You can return your rental instrument during any of our store hours, no appointment necessary! Simply bring your instrument in and we will help you return your rental, as well as find a new instrument if you wish to purchase.
To rent an instrument, we will need a form of ID with an up-to-date address and two (2) credit cards on file. The account holder must be at least 18 years of age and hold a current drivers’ license.
What do I need to rent an instrument?
Pricing for rentals varies from instrument to instrument. The price range for rental instruments can start at $32.99+tax/month and go up to $80+tax/month or more. Please note that Rent-To-Own contracts are inherently more expensive than standard Rent-To-Rent contracts, and they require an initial payment of $80.
For an optional additional $6 per month, we offer a Damage Coverage plan to assist with accidental damage that may occur to your instrument while it is in your possession. See our Rentals page for more information.
